3 New Website Innovations from GTMA
It’s true. GTMA and Razz Interactive just launched what might be THE best new agency website in our industry, but I’m not biased at all. Check it out!
What’s New On The Site
If you’re new to the GTMA website, welcome! I hope it provides you with a clear picture of just what we’re capable of creating for your multi-family marketing needs. If you’re not new to GTMA and you’ve visited the website in the past, you may have noticed a few major changes.
There’s video everywhere!
Websites are an opportunity to tell the story of your brand to potential clients, customers and/or advocates, so each feature, color, font choice, etc. MUST be in-line with the brand message you’re trying to deliver.
At GTMA, we are a “video first” company, which means we think about how we can incorporate elements of visual production into every campaign we launch on behalf of our client partners. Why? Well, the impact of video on the success of a website shouldn’t come as a surprise since we’ve all been watching television for decades. Here are some fun facts: 55% of people watch videos online every day; by 2018, video will take up 79% of consumer internet traffic, and shoppers who view video are 1.81 times more likely to purchase than non-viewers. Do you want a 1.81 times better shot at success over your competitors? We sure do.
Also, we’re just really good at video, and we’ve got the awards to prove it—and the ego (mostly just mine).
Ninja Pro Tip: Never just shoot an apartment tour video by itself. Always ask your creative video team to create micro moments from each video you do for things like social ads, organic social posts, blog articles, etc. One is never enough! (Tweet this tip!)
There’s animation everywhere!
Incorporating animation into a website experience is back in a HUGE way. Now that Flash is officially dead, JavaScripts and CSS coding have allowed the wizards of web design to animate websites in a way that guides our eyes through the experience, enticing us to look where they tell us to look.
As a creative agency that specializes in things like animation, we LOVE this feature, so we put it all over our new website. In some cases, we’re using cinemagraphs; in others, we’ve created custom graphical animations. However, in all cases, the reason for the animation is to highlight something special about GTMA.
My favorite animation on the website is the team page because I’m able to show off my insane karate kick. #KarateKid
Pro Tip: For those of you just getting into the movement thing, Google released a Data GIF Maker to assist storytellers like us. You can quickly convey information through animations. It’s pretty cool. (Tweet this tip!)
There’s a new extension in our URL!
As you know, ICANN released additional extensions opening up the internet to .blog, .christmas, .game and countless others. We took advantage of this new fun feature and claimed .ninja, .media, .space, AND .agency.
We went with “agency,” but we ALMOST went with .ninja. Honestly, I kinda think we should have. How cool would that have been as an email address! Email me at [email protected]. I may just set that up for myself.
Pro Tip: ICANN also released .apartments. Any takers? (Tweet this tip!)
Check out the website, take a look around, and let me know what you think. And please, be that annoying person we all need in our lives who finds the first typo and makes us feel stupid for missing it. Thanks for reading and see you online!
