Marisa Bates

Marisa Bates is a Social Media Specialist here at GTMA, generating content and supporting marketing strategy using social networks across numerous client accounts. Originally from the midwest, her family decided to make the move to Nashville to be around the music scene. She graduated from Belmont University with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration and an emphasis in Music Business. During her time as an undergrad, she spent her time songwriting, performing, and gaining professional music industry experience by interning on Music Row and for the Grand Ole Opry. This led to her working in Music Publishing post-graduation, but she soon found that she desired a better work-life balance. As a result, she decided to try something new and found the opportunity to be the Social Media Manager for a boutique marketing agency. She fell in love with social media marketing and showing off her creative skills. In her free time, you’ll find her trying every taco restaurant in town, writing music, sewing her own fringe jackets, and attending disco dance parties!
