The real estate giant Lincoln Property Company approached the creative professionals at GTMA for assistance with developing an engaging digital experience for their first virtual annual conference.

THE CLIENT.

Lincoln Property Company is one of the largest diversified real estate firms in the US, with development and investment properties in more than 450 cities in the US, and some 10 cities in Europe. The company began by building garden apartments in the Southwest then expanded into commercial development projects. Aside from its residential and commercial constructions, it develops retail, office, industrial, and mixed-use properties in greater than 200 global markets. THE GOAL.

To make the three-day virtual conference a connected experience.

To bring up the overall production value in advance.

THE OJECTIVE.

To boost conference engagement.

To create high-quality consistent branded content.

THE CHALLENGE.

Due to a global pandemic and stay-at-home orders, Lincoln Property Company had to take a different approach to their annual internal leadership conference. In September of 2020, they reached out to GTMA for assistance in creating polished, branded visuals for their first online conference, the LPC Collective. Their challenge was to make the three-day virtual event look and feel like one connected experience, as it would in-person.

THE STRATEGY.

Acting as a creative consultant and partner, our award-winning visual production team walked LPC through an overall plan of developing cohesive content to make the three days of the conference feel more engaging and consistent. To meet these goals, GTMA employed the following strategies:

STEP ONE.

BRANDING.

Our creative team took Lincoln Property Company’s basic branding concepts and elaborated on that look and feel to build a full-fledged design structure. The design elements we created for the LPC brand include: lower thirds, backgrounds, borders, title cards, PowerPoint templates, branded animations, and transitions.

Lower thirds for presenters.

LOWER THIRDS.

Used to introduce speakers and open-up panels, we created lower thirds for each presenter throughout the three-day conference.

BACKGROUNDS + BORDERS.

Built out of our basic visual system, backgrounds and borders helped make it easy to keep all materials in the same design language.

POWERPOINT TEMPLATE.

In order to maintain consistency with the overall design language, we created an internal PowerPoint template for presenters to use throughout the conference.

BRANDED ANIMATIONS.

Branded micro-animations brought life to presentations and promotional videos and kept the audience engaged every step of the way.

STEP TWO.

PROMOTION.

GTMA’s expert-led visual production team took charge of creating three videos used to build hype and generate overall interest in the 2020 LPC Collective event. The first two videos were filmed by the keynote speakers and sent to GTMA for edits and proper branding to boost the production value, as well as maintain a consistent look with the upcoming conference. Working directly in-house with LPC staff, our creative team produced a light-hearted video of the “Top 10 Reasons Why A Virtual Conference Is Better Than An In-Person One” to help build company culture and promote the event.

STEP THREE.

CONTENT CREATION.

LPC also needed compelling visual content to start the day and break up the monotony of three days of back-to-back speakers. Our creative services team produced two more "Top 10" videos to use throughout the conference. We wrote, helped shoot, and edit the video to kick-off the digital event. We even produced the closing award show in our in-house production studio!

LINCOLN COLLECTIVE’S SUCCESS.

This virtual conference experience was a first for both LPC and GTMA, and it was a huge success. Not only did they embrace our ideas, but they also loved the quality of work and the final results.
